Recently I visited the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts to see the Peter Doig exhibition. It was cold outside and his paintings brought to spectators warm and joy. Specially his warm colors and subjects made us travelling in a warm country. As an artist looking at his paintings reminded me Gauguin for the Marquise islands personnages. Observing deeply his way of composing his paintings, I found that he probably loves Rothko geometric manner. if we except the human being.
