PETER DOIG AT THE MONTREAL MUSEUM OF ARTS

2014-01-31 11.50.21-2Recently I visited the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts to see the Peter Doig exhibition.  It was cold outside and his paintings brought to spectators warm and joy.  Specially his warm colors and subjects made us travelling in a warm country.  As an artist looking at his paintings reminded me Gauguin for the Marquise islands personnages.  Observing deeply his way  of composing his paintings, I found that he probably loves  Rothko geometric manner.  2014-01-31 11.55.13if we except the human being.
